Zambia: Heroes welcome for Mayuka

Emmanuel Mayuka, Zambia’s sensation on the national team striking force was on Monday given a warm welcome by his Switzerland club, Young Boys.Swiss journalists swarmed Mayuka at a press briefing when he discussed his Africa Cup of Nations experience.

The 22-year-old forward scored three goals to help Zambia lift for the first time, Africa Cup of Nations title at the tournament.

According to the club website, Mayuka was also greeted with a standing ovation by teammates when he entered the dressing room.

After the official press conference, the player proceeded for later interviews and photo shoot session.

Mayuka also had his first training session at the club on Monday.

Young Boys had earlier given Mayuka a one-week extension to continue enjoying the euphoria during celebrations for the Africa Cup triumph.
